Arame Seaweed is a traditional Japanese Sea Vegetable.

Arame is a great place to start when it comes to seaweed.  If you love seaweed then you will have tried this popular sea vegetable.  This is a delicate, slightly sweet seaweed offers dense nutrition.  This traditional Japanese food is a species of kelp known as ‘sea oak’.

This popular seaweed variety is perfect added to soups and stews.  If you enjoy Japanese cuisine then twin Arame with miso and noodles for a simple, traditional meal.  It can be boiled or gently fried in any dish but goes particularly well with stir fries and Asian inspired soups.  Top with our organic black sesame seeds for added nutrition and a splash of colour.

Sea vegetable is naturally rich in iodine. People sensitive to the effects of iodine are advised to seek medical advice before consuming this product. Product is high in fibre, calcium, magnesium, iodine and iron.

For optimum freshness keep in a cool place away from moisture and direct sunlight.  Store in a tightly sealed bag or container. Store fresh or cooked in the refrigerator, and use up within a few days.

Cooking Instructions

Rinse, then soak for 15 minutes in cold water to let it re-hydrate. It will double in volume. Squeeze dry, then use.
