Our organic apple cider vinegar is made from 100% organic apples and not from concentrate. The apples are pressed into apple juice and then allowed to ferment naturally. The cider is then left for at least a year to mature.
The ‘mother of vinegar’ which contains ‘acetobacter’ is then added along with air to get the reaction started. This natural organism consumes the alcohol in the cider and turns it into acetic acid, aka vinegar!
The result is a wonderfully tangy, super tasty vinegar, produced just up the road in sunny Hampshire. Our vinegar is raw, unpasteurised, unfiltered and with the ‘mother’.
The ‘mother’ consists of proteins, enzymes, and friendly bacteria. You can often see these floating inside the bottle.
Many people use ACV not only for culinary and nutritional purposes, but also for practical uses too! To make an easy, natural all-purpose cleaner, simply mix 1 part vinegar to 2 parts water. Alternatively, make a yummy salad dressing using vinegar, virgin olive oil, cayenne and garlic powder.
