Organic candied peel is preserved in organic sugar and is as natural as it gets! It is a great addition to fruit cakes, current buns, Christmas cake and pudding, mincemeat, mulled wine and festive biscuits.
If you want to try making your own mincemeat then combine the ingredients in our plant based recipe below. Leave the mixture to sit and absorb the moisture for 1 hour before filling your pastry.
Organic Plant-Based Mincemeat Ingredients:
- 175g organic sultanas.
- 150g organic thompson raisins.
- 150g organic dried cranberries.
- 100ml brandy.
- 150g organic candied orange or/and lemon peel.
- Juice and zest of 1 lemon.
*For a vegetarian/traditional option you can add 100g of suet.
Ingredients: Organic orange peel 57%, organic glucose fructose syrup, organic lemon juice.
