Organic Fennel Seed have a similar flavour to anise.

Organic fennel seed is a strong, fragrant spice which tastes like anise.  Organic Fennel Seeds were one of the nine sacred herbs in Anglo-Saxon times due to their nutrient density.  Fennel seeds can be added to vegetable stock, salads or even used in sweet recipes such as biscuits.

Fennel seed has a dense nutrient profile and one 6g serving is high in Protein, Fibre and a source of Manganese.  It is popular in culinary use and also in herbal preparations such as tea.

In India they often eat half a teaspoon of fennel seed after meals as a digestive aid and the seeds feature highly in Ayurvedic recipes.
