Benefits of Vitamin K

Vitamin K is a fat soluble nutrient essential for blood clotting.

Vitamin K actually comes in 3 forms which are quite simply called K1, K2 and K3.  About 90% of our dietary  source of Vitamin K are K1.  Vegetarian sources come from cauliflower, broccoli, dark green vegetables and pulses.  For omnivores egg yolk, liver and meat are also reliable sources of K1.

Vitamin K supports:

  • Normal blood clotting
  • Maintenance of bones
